Babita Sridhar

Babita is a Singapore-based fine artist whose work explores identity, resilience, and transformation. Formerly an IT professional, she left behind an 18-year corporate career to fully embrace motherhood, a shift that led her to discover art as a powerful form of self-expression and healing. Her deeply personal journey, shaped by life’s challenges, ignited a passion for creating artworks that reflect hope, strength, and introspection. 

Working with oils, acrylics, spray paints, and texture mediums, Babita blends abstract textures with realism, creating layered, emotionally rich pieces. Her intuitive process begins with expressive, unrestrained strokes, mirroring life’s unpredictability, before evolving into intricate details that bring depth and clarity. This balance between chaos and structure symbolises her journey of self-discovery. 

Babita’s work encourages viewers to embrace their own journeys of transformation, weaving in symbolic elements that evoke personal growth and self-discovery. She has exhibited both locally and internationally, including at WAD 2024. For Babita, art is more than a creative pursuit, it is a language of resilience, a space for reflection, and an invitation to embrace change with courage and grace. Her work extends beyond the canvas as a reminder that strength lies in the willingness to evolve and rediscover oneself.
