Lithograph inspired by my painting of the same name (200 x 160 cm) from the LIMINAL cycle. The LIMINAL cycle of paintings explores how mutual interaction with the environment shapes a person and places the viewer on the threshold between the apparent peace of the landscape and the escalating noise of civilization. The paintings are based on a study of walking through the landscape. From that simple but fundamental movement, when thoughts slow down and the rhythm of steps connects with the rhythm of the earth. Liminal is a play on the tension between honest contemplation and a slightly ironic awareness of civilizational vices. Animal archetypes appear in colors and shapes - like silent guides who remind us that a person is still part of a larger whole. The landscape here is not a backdrop, but a co-author: with its silence it reveals how overwhelmed our inner world is. Liminal is a pictorial journey through the landscape that allows you to stop running for a while.
